You’ll find it easy to get around Tirana. When it comes to most main attractions you can get anywhere from the city center (aka Skanderbeg Square) on foot. Getting around Tirana is quite easy. If you’ll be going a little further, you can easily catch a city bus or take a taxi.

If you enjoy visiting cafes on your travels, Tirana has great coffee shops! Cafe culture in Tirana, as well as Albania as a whole is a great experience.

And, if you’re into foodie travel, you’ll enjoy places for food in Tirana. You can find very reasonably priced places to eat. From cheap eats to nicer restaurants can be found in Tirana. All at quite a good price in comparison to other places in Europe.

If you’re into budget travel, or always looking for good prices while traveling, you’ll be pleased with Tirana prices. Again, in comparison to other European travel destinations, you’ll find Tirana to be budget-friendly. It is also a good spot for slow travelers and digital nomads to make a home base for a week or longer. Especially when considering the cost of a hotel or apartment, it will likely be cheaper in Tirana than in other places.

As with many countries in the Balkans, there is a history to be told in Tirana (and, Albania as a whole). You can learn about it in museums here or while taking a walking tour, or even from people you meet while in Albania.
